“Alice Through the Looking Glass “is world literature. The famous children’s book by author Lewis Carroll is known in every generation and is listed in many lists as one of the most important literary works of all time. Logically, that a story of this kind also undergoes many films. The best known among them are likely to be those Disney from the home. Above all, the animated version is outstanding because of the film in his own way – a lot more mature and darker than the other output – is not quite so typical of the studio. With Alice Through the Looking Glass then in 1998 a TV version of the famous story was brought to the market.

When Alice’s daughter asks her mother what lies just behind these mirrors, Alice is suddenly dragged itself into this fantastic world and she finds herself in a magical chess country again, where there are all sorts of illustrious figures. Also a Red Queen, which Alice is a tough challenge .

Connoisseurs will quickly notice that the movie content differs significantly from the book, although the most famous characters have their tryst. Since we have Alice, which, however, not a little girl is this time, but a grown young woman. Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum, Humpty Dumpty, and the living chess pieces and of course the Red Queen. However, a few cherished characters, led by the White Rabbit and the illustrious tea party, incl. The Mad Hatter missing. Apparently the fun at the end would simply become too long, if you had all they united in this film.
